Automobili Lamborghini pulled the covers off the Urus SE Performante at Sant’Agata Bolognese on July 1, 2026, positioning it as “the fastest super SUV in the world” and the most extreme production Urus ever built. It replaces the outgoing Urus S, Urus Performante and Urus SE simultaneously — from launch, it is the only Urus body style in production alongside the standard SE.

The formula: keep the plug-in hybrid architecture introduced with the Urus SE, then push it further. The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 gains 146 hp over the pre-facelift Performante, working with an electric motor integrated between engine and gearbox to produce 812 CV (812 hp / 596 kW) combined and 1,000 Nm of torque. Weight drops 32 kg to 2,473 kg via structural carbon fibre, an Akrapovic titanium exhaust and lighter interior trim.

812 HP Plug-in Hybrid V8 — Powertrain Breakdown

The V8 alone develops 620 CV (612 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 800 Nm between 2,300 and 4,500 rpm. Bolted to it is an AC synchronous permanent-magnet electric motor rated at 141 kW (192 hp) and 483 Nm, positioned between the combustion engine and the 8-speed automatic transmission. Peak combined output is 812 CV / 1,000 Nm, delivered from just above idle to 5,500 rpm.

Energy comes from a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion prismatic-cell battery mounted under the load floor. Pure-EV mode is usable up to 130 km/h for an electric-only range of more than 60 kilometres on the WLTP cycle. Compared to the outgoing Urus Performante, output is up 146 hp and 150 Nm.

The manufacturer claims 0–100 km/h in 3.30 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 10.80 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h (194 mph). That makes the Urus SE Performante the fastest series-production SUV Lamborghini has ever built — and, per the company, the fastest super SUV of any brand currently in production.

Braking figures are equally aggressive: 100–0 km/h in 32.8 metres, and 200–0 km/h in under 130 metres. Weight-to-power sits at 3.0 kg per hp. The 54/46 front-to-rear weight distribution is retained from the Urus SE.

AURA Air Suspension & Electronic Center Diff — Chassis Overhaul

Under the skin the SE Performante gets a bespoke chassis calibration. The 8-speed automatic drives a full-time all-wheel-drive system with a new electronically controlled central differential replacing the previous Torsen unit — it can vary front/rear torque split more precisely and lock 100% of drive to the rear axle under specific conditions. A rear electronic torque-vectoring differential works in parallel to shuffle torque between the rear wheels.

Suspension uses Lamborghini’s new AURA (Active Urus Roll-control Adaptive) system — dual-chamber twin-valve air springs with semi-active dampers, four-wheel steering as standard, and revised anti-roll compensation. Braking hardware is Revuelto-adapted: 440 mm (17.32-inch) carbon-ceramic front discs with six-piston calipers, and 410 mm rear discs. Standard wheels are 22-inch forged units (10J front, 11.5J rear); 23-inch forged wheels are optional.

Aerodynamics — 3% Less Drag, 16% More Downforce

Compared to the Urus SE, the SE Performante reduces aerodynamic drag by 3% while increasing downforce by 23%. Downforce alone is up 16% versus the previous-generation Urus Performante. The main contributors are a redesigned front splitter, extended front air curtains, wider air intakes with a satin-black surround, a fixed carbon ducktail rear spoiler and a redesigned rear diffuser housing the quad Akrapovic titanium exhaust.

Bodywork additions in exposed carbon fibre are standard on the bonnet, roof, mirror caps, side sills and rear spoiler. The signature launch colour is “Giallo Crius”, first seen on the Fenomeno limited-edition hypercar.

Carbon Fibre & Akrapovic Titanium — 32 kg Weight Cut

Kerb weight drops to 2,473 kg, a 32 kg reduction over the Urus SE. The savings come from a mix of carbon-fibre body panels, lighter wheels, carbon-shell sports seats, and the Akrapovic titanium exhaust system which alone saves ~10 kg over the standard stainless-steel unit. It is fitted as standard equipment.

Rally Mode, EV Mode & Integrated Power Brake — Driving Modes

The SE Performante carries eight selectable drive modes: Strada, Sport, Corsa, Rally, EV, Hybrid, Recharge and Performance. The Rally mode is new to the Urus range — it tunes throttle response, damper stiffness and stability-control thresholds for loose surfaces, with an optional set of Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain-Plus semi-slick tyres for gravel and snow use. EV mode delivers pure-electric drive up to 130 km/h, while Recharge uses the V8 as a range extender to top up the battery.

Braking is handled by Lamborghini’s Integrated Power Brake system — a brake-by-wire setup shared with the Revuelto that blends regenerative and friction braking transparently. Steering is electromechanical with variable ratio.

Lamborghini has confirmed a starting price of approximately €290,000 in Italy (before options and taxes), with US pricing indicated in the low-to-mid $320,000 range once finalised. First customer deliveries are scheduled for March 2027.

The launch of the SE Performante coincides with the discontinuation of the Urus S, the pre-facelift Urus Performante and the launch-spec Urus SE — from March 2027, the Urus range consists of just two variants: the Urus SE and this Urus SE Performante. Internal projections suggest a 60/40 sales split in favour of the SE, with the Performante positioned as the flagship-only halo. It is also the last combustion-engined Urus generation before the next-generation Urus arrives with a fully electric powertrain, expected around 2029.
