Novitec’s N-Largo is the most extreme programme from the German tuner: not a bolt-on aero kit but a complete widebody conversion. Since the Ferrari F12 N-Largo of 2013, the name has appeared on 15 models — 11 Ferraris, 2 McLarens and 2 Lamborghinis. Each is built in a small, numbered series, usually 11 to 18 cars, and most combine up to 14 cm of extra width with more power, 22-inch forged rear wheels and a lighter exhaust. This guide covers every one of them, from the first F12 to the hybrid 296 GTS N-Largo, plus what they cost new and what they sell for today.

15 official models · First: F12 N-Largo, 2013 · Latest: 296 GTS N-Largo, 2025 · Rarest: 812 N-Largo S, 3 cars · Most powerful: 296 N-Largo, 868 PS · Most torque: Huracán N-Largo, 960 Nm

What Is Novitec N-Largo?

Novitec was founded in 1989 by Wolfgang Hagedorn, who still runs the company from Stetten in the Allgäu region of Bavaria (GTspirit, Novitec). It started with Fiat tuning and has specialised in Ferrari since the late 1990s. For many years it used separate brand names — Novitec Rosso for Ferrari, Novitec Torado for Lamborghini, Novitec Tridente for Maserati — and today it works as Novitec Group, which also covers McLaren and Rolls-Royce (Wikipedia).

“Largo” is Italian for wide, and that is the whole idea. Most N-Largo bodies were drawn by German designer Vittorio Strosek, known for his Porsche body conversions since the 1970s. Novitec builds the cars in its own workshop in southern Germany, which it calls the “Manufaktur”, and some conversions have also been done by authorised dealers such as TAG Motorsports in California.

Two names cause confusion. The “S” does not mean spider: the F12 N-Largo S and 812 N-Largo S are coupés with an even more aggressive body. Open cars are called Spider, Spyder or GTS N-Largo. And Novitec’s widebody for SUVs such as the Ferrari Purosangue is not called N-Largo at all, but Esteso.

How an N-Largo Is Built

The recipe has stayed remarkably consistent for twelve years. Using the 812 N-Largo as the example (Novitec):

Add up the numbers and you get roughly 200 cars across all 15 models: 183 with an announced limit, about 15 F12 N-Largos, and an unpublished number of 296 GTS N-Largos. That makes an N-Largo rarer than most limited Ferraris from the factory.

The programme began in October 2013 with the F12 N-Largo, based on the F12berlinetta. Novitec raised the 6.3-litre V12 from 740 to 781 PS and 722 Nm, and the body grew to 205 cm across (Motor Authority). Novitec did not publish a limit, but auction listings describe cars as “02 of 15”.

In 2016 the F12 N-Largo S went further: 7 cm wider at the front, 14 cm at the rear, 208 cm in total, 0–100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h. Only 11 cars were built (Novitec, GTspirit). It is the first N-Largo to use the “S” suffix, and today one of the most valuable.

Under the Novitec Torado name, the Huracán got the biggest engine change in the whole N-Largo family. A supercharger system took the 5.2-litre V10 from 610 to 860 PS and about 960 Nm — still the highest torque of any N-Largo. The coupé, revealed in December 2015 in blue, was limited to 25 cars, the largest run of any N-Largo (Novitec, GTspirit).

The twin-turbo 488 responded well to tuning: 772 PS and 892 Nm, up from 670 PS, for 2.8 seconds to 100 km/h and 342 km/h. Novitec fitted new front and rear bumpers with an integrated front spoiler, a rear diffuser and a large rear wing, and the body is 209 cm wide at the rear axle. There were 11 GTB coupés and 11 Spiders (Novitec, The Drive).

McLaren became the first non-Italian N-Largo. The 720S N-Largo arrived in late 2018 with 806 PS and 878 Nm from the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, 0–100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and 346 km/h (Novitec, supercars.net). The body is 6 cm wider at the front and 13 cm at the rear, with new rocker panels, a new bonnet, a roof scoop and 95 mm tailpipes. The 720S N-Largo Spider followed in January 2020 with the same figures. Both were limited to 15 cars (Novitec).

The V12 812 Superfast became the backbone of the programme. The 812 N-Largo of May 2019 raised output from 800 to 840 PS and 751 Nm, with 0–100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 345 km/h. The body is 211 cm wide, the naturally aspirated V12 stays untouched in character, and all 18 cars were sold (Novitec).

A 19th car was later built as a one-off with an exposed carbon body. According to autoevolution, the N-Largo conversion itself costs €150,000, and the bare-carbon finish added another €100,000 on top — before the price of the Ferrari itself.

The open 812 GTS N-Largo followed in August 2021 with the same 840 PS and 211 cm width. It adds vertical, Formula 1-style barge boards and a rear bumper with an integrated diffuser, and it was again limited to 18 cars (Novitec). With a naturally aspirated V12, a folding hard top and a widebody, many collectors see it as the most desirable N-Largo of all.

To mark the end of 812 Superfast production, Novitec built the 812 N-Largo S: three cars, all sold before the reveal in September 2023. The fixed rear wing is replaced by a naked-carbon ducktail, the wheels are new Vossen NF11 designs, and the press car was finished all in black. In Novitec’s words, these were “the last three powerful examples of this model modified at the NOVITEC Manufaktur in southern Germany” (Novitec, Carscoops).

In 2026, autoevolution also reported an “N-Largo R” build on the 812 GTS as a farewell to the model. Novitec has not listed it as an official version, so it is not counted in this guide (autoevolution).

The F8 Tributo produced the most torque of any Ferrari N-Largo: 818 PS and 903 Nm, 0–100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and more than 340 km/h. The body gains a front spoiler with side flaps, a bonnet scoop and a ducktail with an integrated diffuser, and it is 211 cm wide. The coupé’s 15 cars sold out within days of the July 2021 reveal (Novitec).

The newest N-Largo is also the first hybrid. The 296 N-Largo of September 2024 adds 38 PS to the plug-in V6 for 868 PS — the most powerful N-Largo so far. The body is 6 cm wider at the front, 12 cm at the rear and 208 cm in total, with a choice of ducktail or rear wing and new brake vents in the front wings. It is limited to 15 cars (Novitec, Carscoops).

What Does a Novitec N-Largo Cost?

Novitec does not publish prices for most conversions. The one figure that has been reported is €150,000 for the 812 N-Largo body, before the donor car. The used market shows how collectors value them today. These are real sale results and dealer asking prices:

The pattern is clear: early F12 N-Largos have changed hands for far less than the later cars, while the rare “S” cars and the V12 812 GTS N-Largo ask well above the price of the donor Ferrari. The 812 GTS N-Largo No. 18 of 18 was listed at €1.3 million — roughly three times the price of a new 812 GTS.

Batman Garage Collector Verdict

The N-Largo cars are the closest thing the tuning world has to a factory special series: one designer, numbered production and consistent engineering across twelve years. If you want the rarest, it is the 812 N-Largo S (3 cars), followed by the F12 N-Largo S (11). If you want the most complete package, the 812 GTS N-Largo combines a naturally aspirated V12, an open roof and the full widebody. And for the most drama per euro, an early F12 N-Largo still costs a fraction of the V12 cars that followed it.

For the donor cars, see our Ferrari model guide, the Ferrari 812 GTS and the Lamborghini Aventador in Legendary Cars.
